Camps During Public School Breaks
At One World Project, we offer camps when public schools are closed, providing children with a familiar and supportive place to spend their days during school breaks.
Families may enroll in week-long camps for individual days or the full week. Summer camp is offered by the week, with the option to enroll for multiple weeks or the full month.

Who Our Camps Are For
Our camps are open to children from 2 to 12 years old and welcome both current One World Project families and families new to our community. Children are welcome regardless of language background, and no prior experience in either language is required.
Rooted in Our Mission
Our camps are thoughtfully designed to reflect our mission: to foster compassion, promote equity, and strengthen mutual understanding—both among people and with our natural environment. Through play, themed activities, and meaningful connections, children feel safe, comfortable, and excited to grow in a warm, inclusive community.
What Camp Days Look Like
Each camp day includes time to connect with classmates, enjoy outdoor play and learning, and engage in age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, cooperation, and care for one another and the world around us.
A Note for Families New to School
Because our one-day and one-week camps are short, they are not intended as a child’s first school experience. Families seeking a first school experience are encouraged to explore our summer camp or apply to our preschool program.

!Hola Summer! CAmp 2026
¡Hola Summer! runs every July and is a way for campers from 2 to 12 years old to learn about our teachers' home countries without leaving Brooklyn. Each week, children will explore a different Spanish-speaking country through art, music, games, food, and cultural experiences inspired by our destinations.
We are so grateful for our spectacular teachers, who will share their experiences, ideas, and traditions as we learn more about the incredible diversity in the Spanish-speaking world. Sample activities may include preparing and tasting traditional recipes, creating art and music inspired by each region, and visiting with guest artists and artisans in the community. As always, we make sure to offer ample time outdoors in our garden, playing in the sprinkler, or enjoying field trips to nearby playgrounds.
This year, ¡Hola Summer! goes local with our August Special Edition, ¡Celebra Brooklyn!, designed for children from 2 to 6 years old: a celebration of the neighborhood, the people, and the place we all share, explored through art, music, storytelling, and outdoor adventures.
Through age-appropriate, joyful activities, children will dive into the history, food, and rich diversity of the communities that have shaped Brooklyn, discovering what makes this place so wonderfully unique and learning how we all play a part in taking care of it.

Percusión
One-day Camp: October 20
For children from 2 to 11 years old
Rhythm and groove are the building blocks of so much of our favorite music, and especially important in all kinds of different music around the Spanish-speaking world. Join us to learn more about bomba, salsa, cumbia, guaguanco, and much more — that’s only the tip of the iceberg. We’ll talk about some basic percussion techniques, learn about different kinds of drums and rhythm instruments, and spend time creating and improvising as a group.
Esculturas Maleables
One-day Camp: October 2
For children from 2 to 11 years old
Join us for a day of tactile exploration. We will use beautiful, high quality, soothing materials to create art (all in Spanish, of course!) We’ll explore lots of different textures, surfaces, and stuff all around us, and let ourselves be inspired to make things we’ve never seen before. We can’t wait to see what surprises are in store!
UPCYcling, ¡No es una caja!
Two one-day camps: September 23 and 24
Pick your days: Join us for a single day or both days of fun and creativity!
For children from 2 to 11 years old
At OWP, we love finding new ways to use old materials, and giving well-loved items a second life! Come join us as we look for ways to extend our creativity, make art and sculpture, find construction projects around school, and think deeply about the impact we can have when we choose not to throw something away. Students will investigate what it means to connect with our environment, and the opportunities that you can find by reusing and repurposing everyday objects into something more.
