Camps

CAMPS

We offer Camp programming on most Federal Holidays, over February Break, and Spring Recess, and 8 weeks of summer.

Camp programs are taught in Spanish and align with our mission of nurturing global citizens and stewards of the environment.  Our camps are lead by our teaching staff of trained educators.

February Break Camp

The February camp is offered February 20 to February 24, 2018 and is a Celebration of Winter.  The children play games, do art and read books all about winter.  We also make bird feeders.  If we get really lucky it will snow and we get to play outside in the snow too.  February camp will be taught in Spanish by One World Project teachers.  The camp is open to children between the ages of 2 and 10 years old.  We require 6 children per age group to run that specific age group camp.  The camp groups are as follows: 2 and 3 year olds; 4 and 5 year olds; 6 to 10 years old.  The week-long 9am to 3pm program is $450 and the 9am to 5pm program is $550.  You can also enroll for less the entire the week.  The cost of 1, 2 or 3 days is $120 per day.

Spring Recess Camp

The April camp is offered April 10 to April 18, 2018.  The April camp is our Spanish-immersion Upcycle Camp.  The children make treasures out of would be trash or recyclables.  We make instruments, 3D art projects, animal habits and all sorts of other cool things.  We invite families to bring material from home and also work with Material for the Arts to create an imagination table of raw material to support and inspire the children's creations.  The Upcycle Camp is taught in Spanish by One World's teachers.  The camp is open to children between the ages of 2 and 10 years old.  We require 6 children per age group to run that specific age group camp.  The camp groups are as follows: 2 and 3 year olds; 4 and 5 year olds; 6 to 10 years old.   The seven day 9am to 3pm program is $630 and the 9am to 5pm program is $770.  The 5 day April 10 to April 14 programs are: 9am to 3pm $450 and 9am to 5pm $550.  You can also enroll for less the entire the week.  The cost of 1, 2 or 3 days is $120 per day.

Summer Camp

Our Summer Camp is offered July 3 to August 25.  The Summer Camp is organized as a world tour without having to leave Brooklyn.  Families are able to choose the weeks they would like to participate in camp.  Some families enroll for the whole summer while others join us for only one session.  The camp is organized in four different two week sessions.  Each session takes us to a new country.  We learn about where the country is in the world, make their flag and experience some of the culture.  The places we visit are determined by the teachers who are teaching.  This way the teachers are able to share things about their cultures and the children both get to know their teachers in a different way and also gain a very special insight into a country.  Last year we visited Colombia, Spain, Mexico and Argentina.  We'll be finalizing our teaching teams and setting up our country schedule in January.  We encourage families to sign up for at least one two-week session but understand that summer schedules are sometimes complicated so also permit families to sign up for only one week.  We don't however offer less than one week sign up. The Summer Camp is taught in Spanish by One World's teachers.  The camp is open to children between the ages of 2 and 10 years old.  We require 6 children per age group to run that specific age group camp.  The camp groups are as follows: 2 and 3 year olds; 4 and 5 year olds; 6 to 10 years old.  The two week 9am to 3pm session costs $900.  The two week 9am to 5pm session costs $1,100.  The one week 9am to 3pmsession costs $500 and the one week 9am to 5pm session costs $600. The camp is open to One World students and the broader community so please invite your friends and neighbors.
